BACKGROUND

The establishment of Arena Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang started under the auspices of the Student Development Center (PPP), Student Affairs and Alumni Division in 1993, and was then known as the Sports Unit. In 2008, the Ministry of Higher Education has recommended that all IPT Sports Units be upgraded as the Sports Center. 

The upgrade of the Sports Unit to Sports Center was announced by Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim bin Suaidi, UNIMAS Vice-Chancellor during the Amanat Naib Canselor 2017 on January 25, 2017.

The role of the Arena Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang has become more challenging as it is responsible in playing the major role in planning and providing sports activities.
